carbon

Carbon
Carbon can be a liquid, gas, and solid. It can be found in different forms just like coal, oil, and diamonds. Carbon would be used to make coral & shellfish then, turned into limestone. The 3 main carbon sinks are: Forests, oceans and soil. Plants burn, get cut down, then release carbon to the atmosphere. Carbon forms with other atoms to make something new e.g: Co2.

Carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide traps heat in the atmosphere to keep our planet warm. Co2 is a gas in the atmosphere that without it, we would freeze to death.

What causes this
People burn fossil fuels, wood, oil and gas. It is released by natural processes such as respiration and volcano eruptions. (found from google but put into own words).

    Good paragraphs. One and two are excellent. In paragraph 3 you say It is released. It is not very clear what it is. Also, what problems is this extra co2 in the atmosphere causing. And what can we do about it?
